It would be redundant for me to say that the U.S. is drowning in a sea of selfish materialism, but the U.S. is drowning in a sea of selfish materialism. Now, I'm not saying there's anything inherently wrong with having nice things or even wanting more things. The problem occurs when we begin form our identities solely based upon our material goods. This problem is becoming pervasive in U.S.

I was responding to a blog post earlier basically about the glorification of women exposing themselves on music videos and such... So i thought i would write a bit about it...
I don't think we can really blame solely blame the women in those videos. So who can we blame?

People always say that celbrities have it so tough and that's the reason why they get away with performing some of the most insane acts. Its especially challenging for childhood stars being that they had to mature quickly and never truly lived a childhood.
Today I was scanning some news sites looking for something interesting to read...and I found something...but not exactly an article. After scanning story after story I've come to the conclusion that America doesn't put nearly enough focus on the lives of celebrities (note the sarcasm).
When you really listen to the words in songs what do you hear? Entertaining sillyness or provacative language? Enjoyable sounds or sexual descriptions? I think it depends on what you listen to more than anything. I absolutly love listening to music, but there are some i wouldn't say forms of music but I gues the artists who perform in certain forms of music I can not sand to hear.
