“One has to train one’s self to do it and keep in training; yet the ability to distinguish, if one of the first steps toward culture is also, in its higher forms, one of its most perfect fruits. (If one dodges every call for discrimination, one loses the power after awhile even if one ever possessed it.)”
~“The Mucker Pose” by James Truslow Adams
This quote by Mr. Adams provides insight to a great dilemma of our current times. In today’s world, we are being taught not to make any discrimination between anything (Although let it be said now, that I do not believe in discriminating against anyone over the color of their skin or anything of the like). However, discrimination can be a great tool for the mind when used properly.
It helps people distinguish between right and wrong. If a man kills another man, you as a viewer can see that it was wrong for him to murder. However, if a child falls and scrapes his knee, and his mother picks him up, rocks him, and tends to his wound, you can see that that was a good and kind action.
It helps distinguish between who someone is. Do they have brown eyes or blue eyes? Are they tall or short? And then there are personality distinctions…Are they quiet or talkative? Are they easily offended or does everything roll off their back? Do they enjoy humor or do they prefer seriousness? Do they like talking about sports or do they find it quite boring? These distinctions help you to interact with the person and understand him or her better.
In today’s time, we are being told that to distinguish between a man and a woman is offensive. If a woman wants to take the job of a man, then she should have that right. If a man wants to take the job of a woman, he should have that right. We’ve seen everything by this point…even a pregnant man! We’re also supposed to accept different lifestyles as ok and we are not allowed to say anything against them (denial of freedom of speech!). If a man chooses to lay with another man as his partner (or a woman with another woman), then they should have that right without being told how different (and possibly wrong) that is.
Why are we not allowed to make these distinctions any more? If a man’s a man, then he’s a man. If a woman’s a woman, then she’s a woman. Those are simple distinctions that people are not wanting to allow in these times because it “interferes” with their “rights.”
My question is, if you’re homosexual, then what do you care if I think that your position is incredibly immoral? If you do not like it, then just ignore me. But do NOT tell me that I don’t have the right to be saying that your actions are immoral. Not only do you hinder my freedom of speech, but you also deny me the opportunity to make a distinction between right and wrong in that sense. “If one dodges every call for discrimination, one loses the power after awhile even if one ever possessed it.” Try as you might, you are not going to take that away from me.
RESPECT LIFE

Culture is a joke, like old people who got stuck in the mind, while trying to go backwards in time to keep things the way they were during their short time of emotional glory lived! PPpffff...
Whatever city in a mayor country will look different within a hundred years from now,
why?
Because big cities are melting pots of thoughts, not just thoughts, new thoughts and ideas which manifest and express themselves constantly.
Same applies to humans, what some refer to as hinder is nothing more than a sensation of frustration which is growing inside their mind state!
Why?
Because some have a hard time to relate to the new realities which are taking place around their personal life!
Therefore they become judgmental in regard to everything they can not relate too!
When this judgmental attitude is not socially supported these individuals get struck with a feel of injustice! They feel victimized because their voice (speech) is not heard amongst while its simply being ignored due to a lack of real matter or importance!
With others words, most people reject retarded views which might cloud their own clear vision!
Were Mozart was once tagged to be a radicalized crazy composer, still today he remains one of the finest examples of human genius ever to have lived!
Some hateful people are that stuck not even to realize there is a big chance the clothes they were upon their shoulders might be the design of a gay person!
The whole world would look like a emotionless sphere if it wasn’t for gay individuals to push inspiration and expression of whatever the human eye can catch, to height’s which “truly” bind people in a union far stronger than Mr. Right in the sky could ever dream of!
Gay individuals don’t care less what one or anybody else might think of them!
Haters hate when their venting is not responded upon, only this is enough to fuel the sickness haters try to expose in gayness, while gay individuals already for long understood they carry none, the sickness is to be found in all retarded morals who try to inflict hate upon all that don’t match the mind state of the herd!
No one is trying to take anything away from anyone, to catch up with life might bring understanding a reduce the amount of zombiefied minds in the streets.

disregarding/criticizing/ignoring stupid opinions is not a violation of free speech.

How exactly has your right to free speech been denied? You seem to think that someone disagreeing with you is a violation of your rights. It's not. No one has to listen to you, no one has to take you seriously, no one has to respect your outdated views. You can point out what's "right and wrong" until the cows come home.
In the spirit of free speech, I'd like to say that I think YOU are incredibly immoral and it's obvious from this post you have no fucking clue what "free speech" is supposed to mean.

I think bombarding me with "you're just prejudice/sexist/racist/intolerant" etc is taking my free speech away from me. It refuses to let me speak for the sake of "tolerance" and forces me to accept things that go against my beliefs.
Yay you! And guess what? I don't care. That's my point. Why should the gays and what not care what I believe is moral if they don't believe it?

We care how you legislate. Stay out of my life (which means let me have a life that is truly equal to yours) and I'll stay out of your church. I'd say that is more than fair.

Have you ever read the constitution?
Why should the gays and what not care what I believe is moral if they don't believe it?
Well, why do you care that gays think what you believe is hateful?

How many anti-gay jabs have you managed to squeeze in in your short time here? You have called us immoral, wrong, sinful, etc.
I have every right to defend myself when you attack my character in such a manner.
Basically, your complaint is that people argue with you. Well, guess what? That's what we do here. We foster open and honest debate. Claiming some kind of religious immunity is not intellectual honesty. If you can't take the heat, stay out of the kitchen.

I guess this is why you have your own smiley!
:grr:
I guess I should go read the rest of this and give a straight Christian perspective on the topic later.

Oh I see what’s going on here. You have gotten yourself confused but what you meant to do was kind of cool. Way to speak out and defend yourself.
Aaaa, you mixed up distinction and discrimination. Discrimination, as the bad word that we are not suppose to do, means "Treating people differently through prejudice ~ unfair treatment of one person or group, usually because of prejudice about race, ethnicity, age, religion, or gender” (as defined by Microsoft Word’s ‘Look up…’ option”. Distinction (a difference between two or more people or things, or the recognition of such a difference…also thanks to Microsoft word) and differentiation as what you began speaking of is different.
The bible calls for us to love ALL people. The constitution allows for freedom of speech and religion (or lack there of). Both of which guard the rights of you, me and the homosexual population. You may make the distinction between you and ‘them’ and chose with whom you spend your time. When it comes to hating or being violent, the hater and the suppressor is the one in the wrong
And you accidently said that it is okay to take a job from somebody. I am guessing you really mean that a male can earn a traditionally feminine job and vice a versa without reprocussions.
Oh, on a very side note: please try to add a extra space between your paragraphs to increase the ease of your readers.
