Fireproof-movie of the year!

So some friends and I went to see the new movie Fireproof last night. What an incredible movie! Admitingly, some of the minor actors weren’t great and a few parts were a little cheesy. However, for the most part, it was increeeeeedible! It’s SUCH a chick flick, but there are enough guy scenes to where guys would love it, too.
In the beginning of the movie, this firefighter is having some serious marital problems. To make matters worse, he’s a porn addict. He doesn’t believe in God and his life is screwing up more and more every day. Then his dad sends him this “love dare”: a day by day instruction manual over the period of 40 days to help save his marriage. Throughout his journey through the 40 days, he realizes that he never truly knew what love is, and only through realizing what it is can he really love his wife.
I love how it shows that pornography is an evil that really messes up a marriage and that it should be avoided. I love how it shows that people really do need God in their lives, whether they realize it or not. I love how there are no cuss words or sexual scenes, which makes it a family movie (they even explain the pornography in such a way that it’s ok for kids!).
There’s a ton of humor mixed into the movie, and as a huge humor person, I LOVED it. I loved how I laughed so hard I cried. I cried at the sad scenes. My heart leaped to my throat out of fear at some parts. It was incredible.
I think we really need more movies like this. The movie industry has such a large influence over the way we think. To have a wholesome movie showing how it’s important for people to work out their differences in a marriage (especially in today’s times where the divorce rate is 50%), it’s just incredible. Fireproof was an awesome movie and I definitely recommend viewing it!

I've heard a lot of things about this movie, and everybody in my church has talked about how it's sooo good. The review is definitely helpful, and I'll be sure to let you know what I thought of the movie. :)
