Discretion For the Future

Can someone tell me why there aren't enough people that are criticizing John McCain on his VP pick. I say this because it is the obvious thing to do for such an idiotic decision. And i mean crticize him for the real reason, which is that Sarah Palin has no idea what she's doing. It's obvious why McCain picked such an obscure person for his VP position-gender. McCain was waiting to see if Obama would pick Hillary for his VP which would basically guarantee him all of her supporters. Since he didn't go with this decision and picked Biden instead, McCain thought by picking Palin he would, through some magic force, hyptonize the majority of Hillary Clinton's supporters into swiching from Democrat to Republican. The '"funny" thing is, some polls show that that tactic actually worked. It boggles my mind how some women who were previous Clinton supporters, would swich to the Republican side in order to vote for a woman. Its like voting for Barack Obama because he's black, which is one reason why alot of people are voting for him. The point is, Palins views and policies are totally different from Hillary's which would be a good enough reason not to swich parties. Also, for people to suggest that she has foreign policy experience because Alaska is "close" to Russia is absurd. If she were to become president, i wouldn't trust her to be able to take on powerful leaders like Vladimir Putin of the now aggressive Russia, and Mahmoud Ahmadinejad of Iran. I guess voting for someone for their race or gender is more important than voting for them for their stand on important issues.

People want to see change in the United States. Thats why I think some women want to see Palin in the White House. My problem with her is that she is so inexperienced, and if McCain were to die, she would become President, a job I don't believe she is ready for. I also think her foreign policy relations, the fact that Alaska is so close to Russia and touching Canada, is a red flag. This woman has no experience.

Its funny to watch previous claims that the McCain campaign has made over the past year and a half about how Obama has little or no experience, and then to see McCain go and pick someone like Sarah Palin who was the mayor of a really, really small town-in the state of ALASKA. I don't think it takes a genious to know that Alaska isn't the most popular or polulated state in America.

It doesn't matter if your republican or democrat, people want to see the nation with change and a new direction. They want to see America as a symbol of leadership and prosperity to all nations around the world. Just because people vote for a race or sex doesn't mean they don't like the party's policies and values.

Yea but if you are voting for a race or sex you are defeating the whole purpose of supporting your party for its views, you're just voting for the image. Is that the type of country you want to live in? Where politicians are picked on gender or race, rather than the choices and goals that they have planned for this country?
