Had an idea about a ProU t-shirt want your input

drifterdani6886's picture

I had an idea for a ProU t-shirt such as : I am a ProU addict or I belong to PA: ProU anonymous. BurningExample came up with great input with 12 steps on the back. Visit the "We have stuff" post. I forgot to provide a link...

Would any of you buy it or find this t-shirt to be a good idea?

I think it's a good idea as well, but I just wonder if anyone that is really in AA would be offended by it in real life. I know some people here take it kind of offensively if you joke around about AA, so I wouldn't want to hurt anyone or make them mad.

I wouldn't worry too much about offensiveness of the addiction thing. I couldn't imagine anyone really taking it seriously or getting upset or mad. Even in recovery, people do have a sense of humor!

I just worry about people who are looking for ridiculous yet quasi-justifiable reasons to be offended. People like to sue where I live, and I could just imagine one of my students filing a complaint with the University for seeing me in a shirt that made fun of his second cousin Albert that was in AA when he saw me out of class. I'm sure nothing would happen, but you never know.

I think I would probably buy one if I had the extra money, anyways. If anything, I would just wear it on days that I don't have to go to school.

And she'd make me wear it to 12 step meetings! She is scratching off the hours on our bedroom wall..12 hours left until I return to the real world for a while! Do you think I'll get the shakes? How bad IS ProU withdrawal?

I like the twelve steps/ProU addict shirt idea! It reminds me of the sweatshirts we had made in high school AP English, where we listed on the back what "AP" stood for.
