Hey guys,

Just wanted to say hi. A little about myself - I attend Indiana University...go Hoosiers! Haha just kidding. Sadly enough I haven't attended a single IU basketball game. I know, I know. Shake your heads. It'll be my 4th year this next fall, and it'll be a new experience for me given that I've just recently changed my major -- Devoted violin performance major gone soft for the world of politics and environmental awareness. I am now an International Studies Major focusing on Human Rights and Social Issues. I'll have to be honest, it's all a little new to me, but I'm enjoying the idea of not walking around blind. I still have to decide whether or not I'm a musician trying to fit on a political activist's skin, or I'm a political activist that can play violin. I am confident that music is an innate part of me and I won't ever give it up but I do know that I have a hunger to leave this world having made an impact on society that's worthwhile.

Haha, this has turned into a personal reflection but I hope that's kind of given you an idea of where I'm at and who I am. Till next time...

MUsic is apart of everyone's soul... Thats why the olden day called it secular and avoided it at all cost:) I bet you will be a political activist that can play violin and amazing. Welcome to ProU and I look forward to seeing you around

We like personal reflections. It lets us see the real you! :)
I think everyone has a musical side in some way or another. Yours is playing an instrument. Mine is dancing. For others, it might be songwriting, singing, rapping, or conducting. Essentially, I think everyone is a musician in some way or another.
