I felt very inspired today after watching a very good movie about women's sufferage. I was watching Iron Jawed Angels featuring Hilary Swank as the main character. I was watching as the women in the movie banned together and jumped through loops like crazy to get the freedoms we women share today and it just showed me that there is hope for the rights that are being fought today by the LGBT community. It took over half a century or so as it was stated in the movie to get women's voting rights up to the point there were at in the 1900s. I would like to wish and say for a fact that we have evolved some since that time period at least mentally. Unfortunately as I look back to all the suffering the GLBT community has gone through to fight for the rights they deserve to have just all people deserve to have the movie has outlined them all. The LGBT community has parades during the Gay Pride time and i looked back and remembered hearing of an out break of violance that happened during one. It is the same thing that happens to the women in the movie as they try to parade to aware people that women exsit and should have the right to vote. The movie is a very inspirational movie and one i recommend to anyone who needs a reason as to why all people no matter their sexual orientation or identity maybe. We are all people and we all deserve to have the very rights that are inabled to us. Just like people who align themselves with beind Heterosexual people of the LGBT comunnity want the same rights as those of the heterosexual comunnity have. We are who we are and we are all the same when we look past the outter differences like skin color and looks.
Just as women were seen different back when they were fighting for women's rights so are those who are apart of the LGBT community. We are seen as different because we happen to love those people of either the same sex or both. We are no more different than those who love others of the opposite sex. We want love and to show love just like all living things do. We are all people with differences and unless we over come the small differences then we may never be able to reach true peace and love.
