Teen pregnancy is a big issue in the world today. Most teens aren't responsible enough to take precautions and use protection. Having sex is a big responsibility and a big decision your first time. Sex is not a game, although, it seems like everyone is doing it, it's still a matter that needs to be taken very seriously.
Teen girls aren't meant to be mothers. They should be out enjoying life and hanging out with their friends. They're probably just starting their first jobs and learning to fend for themselves. No teenager needs to have the burden of a child, especially since we're all still children ourselves.
Every year now so many babies are killed by abortion because their mothers weren't ready to have a baby. The child is innocent and it should have a fair chance at life. It's not the baby's fault that it was conceived. Adoption is a much better option for teen mothers who aren't ready to be mothers.
I think that more needs to be done to prevent teen pregnancy. Girls need to know that birth control is available and guys should know that there is no age requirement to buy condoms. If teenagers would just stop and think before having sex then I think that would help the numbers of teen pregnancy to lower.
Most teenagers aren't ready to be parents and the rare few that are will probably end up missing out on a lot of things that they wanted to do, like go to college.
