Chances are, if you're a regular blogger on Progressive U, you have come across several of our volunteer faculty members who work to keep this site and the Blogging For Progress Scholarship up and running smoothly.
Although many of our faculty members work behind the scenes - we would like to hear from you when you see a volunteer go above and beyond. Perhaps they helped to welcome you to the site? Answered several of your questions quickly? Settled a dispute you were having with another member? Or even if they just said something that had you giggling all week - we'd love to hear about it from you so that we can properly recognize our wonderful volunteer staff.
Each month, we will choose a new volunteer to feature based on your nominations and the nominations of our faculty members.
If you're unsure of which members are volunteers, you can look for their badges on their profiles, comments, and blogs:
-
- This badge designates members of Progressive U who not only have impressed several other members of our community - but have also decided to volunteer their time to help further Progressive U by helping to moderate blog entries, forum topics, and comments - as well as offer any advice to new members. By volunteering, these members withdraw their accounts from the Blogging For Progress Scholarship and join the ranks of the Progressive U Faculty.
-
- This badge designates a volunteer who has decided to go beyond working just for regular site maintenance and moderating. Progressive U Alumni Directors often work behind the scenes to further the organization via fundraising, technical support, press releases, and marketing. Although they are still online within Progressive U a lot, they don't often have the time to read through every blog.

Happy Blogging!
