What were people thinking when they let McCain run anyway. With every passing week, the notion I hold about his sanity is confirmed. President Bush already messed up our country. I can't imagine why America supports a man who doesn't want to clean up Bush's mess altogether. McCain was recently in New Orleans and showed some more of his true colors. His statements may have cost him the New Orleans vote if not the entire state.
I tuned in to watch MSNBC’s Countdown W/Keith Olbermann tonight and my favorite segment was on; The Worst Person In The World. For those of you that have never seen the show, this is the segment where Mr. Olbermann ranks 3 people, groups, or companies that made the news for doing or saying something awful in front of the media. The ranks start from third place being the least offensive to first place, being the worst of all. Tonight’s third place winner was none other than John McCain. He was in New Orleans last night and let me tell you, he knows how to make anyone’s blood boil.
On his way to the 9th Ward of New Orleans (wards are districts in New Orleans), he said he wasn’t said he’d never let another disaster like Katrina occur again. Following that he said he didn’t know whether he’d have the 9th Ward rebuilt or torn down. Let it be known that the 9th Ward is the largest geographical district in New Orleans.
"He also told reporters he was not sure if he would rebuild the lower 9th ward as president.”That is why we need to go back is to have a conversation about what to do -rebuild it, tear it down, you know, whatever it is," he said."

Can you believe this guy? There are still many displaced citizens who lost their homes in the disaster. They want to go home to the New Orleans they remember and McCain doesn’t know whether or not he feels it logical to rebuild an area that many people called home. I suppose he just wants them all to say in those health-hazard trailers until they all die.
A pastor in New Orleans named John Hagee recently announced his endorsement of John McCain. This is the same pastor who said that the citizens of New Orleans deserved the damage Katrina caused. It was an act of god. God didn't like the sinful acts that occurred there such as homosexual protest marches so he decided to smite them.
"Pastor John Hagee -- whose endorsement Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) said this past Sunday he was "glad to have" -- told NPR's Terry Gross that "Hurricane Katrina was, in fact, the judgment of God against the city of New Orleans." "New Orleans had a level of sin that was offensive to God," Hagee said, because "there was to be a homosexual parade there on the Monday that the Katrina came.""

A man like McCain doesn't belong in the White House. He can't decide whether it's a good idea to give people their homes back or keep the money which he’d probably spend on Iraq (make note that he doesn’t think there are enough troops there as it is). To me, that doesn’t sound like the makings of a good president. In fact, it makes me wonder how he even made it as a senator.
A President of the United States has many duties but when there are people in need, they have priority over a “war” that should have ended as soon as it began. His logic must be simply that when we didn’t find WMDs, we might as well search harder. Just send in the army and 101st Airborne Division to devastate the place! I’m sorry if I sound harsh, but I think that our homeland issues need to be addressed before we sink more money into a useless middle-eastern conflict.
Sorry Johnny but you’ll have to do without my vote…and perhaps Louisiana's too.
