Ever since I was a little girl, I wanted to be a Veterniarian. I'm one of those people who adore their pets and will do anything for them. I really love cats. (obviously since my username is kitty42) So since my dream is to become a vet, I want to attend Iowa State University. Now, I know what your thinking. Why Iowa? It's just a bunch of corn fields. But you see I was born in Iowa and both my parents are alumni of ISU. Not to mention the fact that ISU is one of the top vet schools in America. I have visited the campus a couple of times and let me tell you, it is beautiful! I love it. My dad was showing me around and pointed out certain things. For example the lake that freezes over in the winter so you can ice skate on it, the sign that you have to touch every time you pass it for good luck, the tiles on the floor that you're not supposed to walk on or you will have bad luck, and of course the bell tower. The bell tower is most important. You aren't a true Iowa Stater if you haven't been kissed under the tower at midnight. It is also the tower where my dad proposed to my mother. Needless to say I want to be proposed to under that bell tower so naturally I have to attend that school. That is why I joined this site because of the scholarship they are offering. I live in Kentucky so Im going to have to pay lots of money to attend a college out of state for 8 years because thats how long it takes to become a vet. So I really need this scholarship so please comment this blog along with my others so I can get as many points possible to win this scholarship.

Couple things...
1) I don't know WHY people don't understand this, but you get points for comments YOU make, not comments on your blog. And if you comment on your blog as the first comment, it will be deleted 99 times out of 100.
2) Run on sentences are not your friends. Neither are big blocks of text. If you want people to read, break it up some.

Welcome to ProU alothough by now you have been here awhile. I just wanted to say that after a year or two you can claim residency and get a tuition break. Just a little hope thats all.

Maybe, depending on the area. I've heard that a lot of college towns will not allow students to claim residency now. It's just in some areas, but I'm not too sure which areas.
