My fellow Americans,
I am writing today with a heavy heart and a hurting mind. My heart is heavy, because I fear the future of this country and this world. My mind is hurting as I am searching for solutions, to keep us all together. But through this, I am hopeful. Hopeful because, we can bring the possibility of a bright future, you and I.
In the past 200 years, the human race as a whole has come a very long way. Yet recently it has come to my attention that we are lacking any clear direction of the path we should be on. (I'd like to compare us to an unsupervised elementary school. We have energy, creativity, inspiration but we have no directions, no limitations.) We are becoming misguided, yet within 200 years there have been advances, so far from anything thought possible, which have brought us to the present. Looking at the future I see one in which our unimaginable technological advances can take us forward to build the world that we need in order to sustain us. I am not talking about a utopia. I am speaking of making the world the best it can be for all living on Earth. I hope to push America forward and retake it's position as the greatest country in the world.
Ever since I first learned about politics, and being lead under one leader, I have dreamed of someone who would stand up and speak for what is really important. Not money, not how "this country did this, so we must do this". Someone who would speak and teach us of the control we have over the future of this beautiful planet. I've dreamed of someone who could lead us with a brilliant new vision. As I have matured, so have my dreams and ideas. We cannot depend on abrupt change. It is not possible. What we need is a steady, and accurate plan, that does not rush the process of helping mother nature.
Now you may be questioning my plans on how to end war, and bring peace to the world. Well that, my friends, will come with time. First step is to undo what has been done. Although it may see impossible to completely end war, you will learn that everything is possible. We can make it happen. We need to come together as one world, and stop doing what we are doing, which will eventually lead to the extinction of the human race, and of the world. If we work on undoing what has been done, we could make this a planet in which, though there will still be problems, war will not have to be one of them.
Sadly my dream has yet to come true. The only leaders I have seen have been money driven fools. And those I have seen with ideas to lead us into the future with our chins held high, have been pushed aside. The leader, which I and I believe many of you long for, has been hidden deep inside myself, and yourself. I cannot be silent any longer. We cannot continue on this path of destruction. I feel that it has become my responsibility to stand up and become the leader I have been searching for. I am announcing my candidacy for 'Leader of change'.
This will be unlike anything I am aware of. It will not be anything like what is going on at the moment. I come forth, as a fellow citizen, begging and pleading to find the good in this planet that has become so black with lies. We need to find some direction, and it is in our own hands to do so. Together we can accomplish amazing things, which could change the course of the future. I will not stand to hear that it cannot be done. It can, and it will as long as we keep moving towards change. We are Americans. We are the citizens of the greatest nation on this planet.
And we CAN accomplish great things.
