Today, there were people climbig the cables on the Golden Gate bridge. I was just admiring the vast beauty of this bridge on Friday and now, there are people risking their lives on the cables holding it up. I think it is great! They are being progressive. They hung a sign on it that says, "One World. One Dream. Free Tibet.". If we all got out there and climbed a bridge I believe we would make waves, I mean think about it. These few people are making international news headlines while we watch.
The 2008 Olympics does not seems to be going over well in any country. In France, the torch could not even finish it's tour because of all the protests. In San Francisco on Wednesday is the only torch run in North America, and now it is being altered. They decided against going through Chinatown (Umm ya think?!), and they decided to make it only 8 miles. In France it was supposed to be 17, it didn't make it that far. Activists are planning a "Tibetan Freedom Torch Relay" and rally in San Francisco on April 8, and I wish I was there to witness it. I believe that it will be peaceful, and can only hope that it will be. I wish I could be progressive in my beliefs this week in San Francisco, but I am back in San Diego, watching all the action on CNN. If any of you are in San Francisco this week, be progressive. I don't recommend climbing cables on either of the two bridges, but you get the idea.
