To my utter amazement I found out yesterday that one of my best friends whole-heartedly does not believe that global warming does not exist and that it is all just a hoax perpertated on people by the scientists of the world. I am just curious with all of the evidence out there how someone can honestly in their hearts of hearts believe that global warming does not exist. I think I heard somewhere that something like 95% of all scientists agree that global warming is happening and humans are the cause of it. I personally think that those scientists that are holding out on this are the ones that are hired by the oil companies to say that there is nothing wrong with the environment or our use of fossil fuels. Does anyone out there agree with me or are there more people out there than I realize that agree with my friend?
Does global warming exist?

I don't think that global warming is a hoax, nor do I believe that it exists. You probably read something like "95% of scientists agree that global warming is a valid hypothesis" or something similar. The facts behind it could be true, however, there is not enough data to absolutely prove or disprove it. Try looking up "global cooling" if you'd like to know more.

Global warming is a perplexing issue. When it comes to this particular facet of science, I say, "let the dice scatter where they may."

I have a friend who doesn't believe in manmade global warming, but that the Earth's climate temperatures flucuate over thousands of years.
I know most studies are biased one way or another, and it is known that the Earth fluctuates in climate temperature, but over the past 20 years or so, the Earth's climate temperature has been rising faster than ever seen before.
Personally, I'm with you as opposed to your friend.
