Abortion

Have you ever known someone who has had an abortion? Most of the people who I have spoken with that have had one, they regret hurting their unborn and defenseless child. in fact, they said if they could redo their life, they would have had their baby and would have given their child the best life they possibly could. Even if it meant them having to make sacrifices in order to provide for the baby.

I know that abortion is tough but if you want to check out my page I have a blog on abortion.

I have a friend who had an abortion and I completely supported her with her decision. I know some people say that abortion is wrong or immoral, but it is a choice. We as the United States are free to make those decisions for ourselves, especially the women. In my friends case: She was a freshman and her dad beat her. She was in an unhealthy and scary environment at home and she didn't want to raise a child in the mess she was living in. Some people argue that she could have just had the baby and given it up for adoption, but the fact that her dad beat on a regular occasion could have damaged the baby. I think in certain cases it isn't wrong.

I've known a few people that have had one, and none of them regretted it. One friend even said she thought it was the best decision she had ever made.

Also, isn't this area of the forum for introducing yourself?

Welcome to ProU. I guess it depends on what the reasons behind and the justifications are for the abortion. I have a friend that was repeatedly more or less gang raped as a young girl. When they discovered she was pregnant before she had her first period there was no question in their mind. She is totally for abortion with good reason and doe snot feel the least bit bad about it.

Does this intro say something about you?

So really, anecdotal evidence isn't enough to prove anything.

Anecdote with anecdote, I guess. To me this just means that people need to think and consider before doing anything and that the government should not make laws on personal choice.

I concur. It really does affect everyone differently, so it should be a personal decision.
