Lately I have heard so much about the trees and how too many of them are being cut down. My school has just started a new recycling program to save the trees. The reason that the trees are being cut down is because too many people are wasting the paper that they use and not recylcle it at all. Well in my opinion we have alot of trees that we are never going to run out. But today I was told that it takes eight years for a tree to grow enough for the use of paper. That was something that I have never heard before and I can't believe that today was the first time I heard that. The population of trees is reducing more and more every day that is a fact that everyone should know. Well in this case when all the trees are gone all of our animals are going to die off because they have lost homes, food, and shade. That is a natural resource for them and alot of animals can't survive without them. It takes years for a tree to grow not just days like a plant we need the trees for us and animals.
If trees cease to exist then global warming has more of a chance to kill us and animals. This is something that is interresting and can possibly happen I believe, and the way our world is going now then it's possible, one day that our world may cease to exist.
Trees and global warming

Its a scary thought to think that our world could end over something that we can prevent - like recycling. I feel that we should all pull together and change this disaster as its going to affect everyone and everything on the planet..
I agree that killing trees is terrible and can be prevented, but I don't like the idea of using global warming to support it. Global warming is still inconclusive, so it would be more effective to use other arguments like the ones for animals instead.

Another thing- are you using the front and back of the paper both and reducing use? Try encouraging your teachers to make 50% size printouts, take exams on scrap paper, and do homework on the back of used paper. Then, recycle it.
