In case you don't do so usually, I implore you to take a stroll down the magazine aisle of your local supermarket and examine the April cover of Vogue. On it, you will se a photograph of basketball's new superman Lebron James with his arm wrapped around the waist of upermodel Gisele Bundchen. Now, to all of us open-minded people, this won't really phase you. To others, the press has just broken the law!
Apparently, this cover is getting some attention. In fact, the photograph has been compared to King Kong holding Fay Wray.
Do I have to point out who plays the part of the gorilla in this one? Good.
I'm a little shocked at this. You'd think that since it's more common to see people of the opposite sex and different races fraternizing with each other not one eyebrow would be raised at this truly innocent image. But, lo and behold, we're still scared of the "big scary black guy" that's a little too close to the "innocent white woman".
For goodness' sake, calm down! It's not like the man was gonna swallow her whole!
One last thing-I'll bet all of this would be fine if Tyra Banks or Matthew McConaughey were replaced for the respective parts...
Something to think about.
Lebron James and Gisele Bundchen on Vogue? Uh-oh...
