Yes, I am doing a blog on something that someone else just did but I felt that I needed to dig deeper and perhaps share a part of my life with you. Thanks goes out for the idea, though! Anyways, My mom got pregnant at sixteen and had me at seventeen. Her life is ruined because of it. She had no opportunity. She did not even graduate high school because of it. Now I am not saying that she could not have graduated high school she just didn't. Some refer to babies that were concieved at a young age as mistakes. Well, I am not the mistake! SHE made the mistake. Ok, say that you got pregnant at an early age and you wanted to finish high school and then go to college and become a doctor. Well, unless you have a very gracious parent that will watch your baby for most of the day while you go to school and study or you have an aweful lot of money for overtime daycare, then that dream has just flown out the window. My mom, because of HER mistake now lives in a crappy old trailor and sometimes she even goes hungry. She has to feed my eight year old brother before she feeds herself. And it probably does'nt help that she spends quite a bit of money on marjuana and beer. She uses drugs and alcohol to block out the feeling of HER mistake. Anyways, I just thought that I would say that abortion is not the answer! It would be better to give that child a chance even if you gave it up for adoption. If you make a mistake then you learn from your mistake. But you shouldn't take it out on the child. I am very glad that I was given a chance at life!
