Hi for everyone out there my names Jessica (i know so common)
I found this awesome site through fastweb.com because I've been applying for about every scholarship I think even remotely relates to me.
Lets see a little about me: I am currently 17 years old. I live an average life. I am of average height, I have an average sized family in an average house and I go to an average school. Yet I never let any of this facts make me average. I am shy my nature, but being shy gets too boring. I enjoy voiceing my opinion. I am interested in the world around me. I believe its far too easy to forget that beyond the borders of our every day lives there's a whole other world that is nothing like what we know. I belive that people should always strive for the stars. I read all I can about world events because I hope to one day do my part to make this world better. It hurts me to see how little people know about atrocities happening around the world in places like Rowanda, Darfur, Tibet, and so many more places.
I love chatting so if you have anything to say to be, dont by shy I'd love to hear from you!

Are you referring to the US? I see that a lot- there are so many people focused on other countries that they overlook or deny problems here. I'm the opposite- I know what happens here, but I dont know what happens anywhere else.

Oh, I'm American as well. I think I use british spelling sometimes because I read too many old books as a kid and picked up the older spellings. I think my reply was worded in a confusing manner. I didn't know if you meant to not forget about things that are going on in the US or things that are going on at this site.
