March Madness has come upon us once again, and for those college students out there, I'm sure you're having a blast rooting against your rival schools. As a girl, my bracket is often put down by the guys because they think they have more of an insight into sports than I do. But when they get to know me as a person, they realize that I know a lot about sports, because that seems to be all I watch.
With 65 teams vying for the championship, it creates some great basketball games to watch for 3 weekends. I know that it's something I look forward to every year, even though I will probably never see my school's basketball team in it.
The upsets are always the best. Watching UConn and Duke go down has created tons of hype in the sports world. It always seems that the schools we least expect to win, end up doing the best.
March Madness seems to grow more and more each year. The fans become even more crazy and energetic for their teams. It makes you want to root for the underdog. What other tournament allows you to watch 4 days straight of basketball every week for 3 weeks? It's mayhem! And although the team I'm rooting for this year will probably not make it past the Elite 8 (if they get there), I will still watch and cheer for some team, because it's March Madness, and it only happens once a year.
