I was searching through blogs and I saw that this one woman said that one of her dislikes was "Feminists." Now, I'm all for freedom of opinion but some things I don't particularly understand. How can you not like feminists? Feminists are the reason women have the right to vote. They are the reason that women have come so far within the work place- the reason women have gotten out of the house and off their back. Feminists are one of the reasons that girls and women can go to school and get a quality education. How can you have such a deep dislike for feminists?
I could understand why a man might be against feminists but why a woman (maybe that in itself it sexist)? Without feminists would women have come as far as they have in society?
Maybe I'm just being rediculous. Or maybe she meant radical feminists... I mean honestly, who likes those? Mater of fact, who likes radical anything?
Okay, now I'm getting off topic. Feminism, yay or nay? Is it even needed anymore? I mean we are all really equal in a legal sense. Then again there is still gender discrimination with in the work place and not to mention schools (sports teams, mainly)... but again, that could be taken care of in court.
Now I'm just being wishy-washy and I think I've lost sight on the original reason of the post. Eh, whatever. What's your stance on whole subject?
