National Funeral Directors Day, NFDA, IFDA, presses on To Raise Funeral Cost!

Rest in Peace believes that if there is a national funeral directors day the status quo will be maintained and deceptive funeral cost raising tactics outlined in this blog will continue. Your Family Funeral cost will continue to rise. Your family will find it more difficult to do a lower cost funeral.

On March 11th 2008 National Funeral Directors Day did not pass the United States and funeral cost was not raised. Congress. Rest in Peace received a letter from Senator Dick Durbin (Dem- IL) stating that on March 11th 2008 National Funeral Directors Day passed the Senate Unanimously.

This was indeed the case. However Rest in Peace spoke with Congressional Staff and National Funeral Directors Day still remains in committee in the House of Representatives
Specifically the bill is in the Government Reform and Oversight Committee. The Resolution was amended in Committee by voice on 3/13/2008. What happened no one is saying.

The National Funeral Directors Association(NFDA), the sponsoring lobbying organization did not declare the Senate Vote a victory in the press. There was no press release as is the common procedure when the NFDA declares a victory,

Now the Illinois Directors Association IFDA---declared it mis managed $40,000 Million Dollars of IFDA Preneed Trust, Trust Money several weeks before the1st attempt at National Funeral Directors Day. This was just after the sudden and yet to be explained termination of the IFDA Executive Director Paul Dixon.

In Illinois there are three political leaders of interest Dan Brady State Representative Illinois. State Senator Randall Hultgren of Hultgren Funeral Home Wheaton, Il and State Comptroller Dan Hynes.

These are only the opinions of Rest in Peace, Your Funeral Guy.
