So Hillary Clinton's financial secretary, as it were, resigned. Well that is about the only smart thing she's done on her part. I'll explain my reasononing as well,
First she says something completley hypocritcal about the opposing running candidate. Telling a newspaper that if Obama wasn't black, he wouldn't be in the lead right now was the worst thing you could while working under a FEMALE candidate. Even as a Republican, I feel I halft to defend Obama here. Saying that his skin color has gotten him where he is now is a complete decharacterising thing to say. It's low and doesn't suprise me coming from the Cliton campagn.
Second, Ferraro isn't apalogizing for her comment. In no way shape or form is she saying sorry. Her conceince is so utterly scewed. How can someone say something like that and just run with it. I think she is lying when she says she isn't sorry, because she resigned! If your unashamed of something, than your not going to give up and resign because you said something. Seriously! Clinton's actions really kind of piss me off as well, because she didn't publically disagree and show support for minorities since she technically is one as well as Obama. She just say, "Oh no hard feelings, I didn't ask you to leave or anything. Unlike this other lady who I outright fired after losing a state's delegates. "
Which leads me to my third opinion of Ferraro's tactics. She blames Obama for the public humilation she brought upon herself!!! I am sorry maybe I am deaf or blind, because I have never seen Obama attack someone for being racist. Ya, ferraro blames the Obama campaign for blowing this whole thing up. Oh man, he had a little press conference where he answered questions about her comments. No offense here Obama, but half the speech was "uh um...." I no way shape or form was he launching an attack on Hillary. If Ferraro cares so much about Hillary and not hurting her than maybe she should have kept her mouth shut or atleast showed a litte decency. Here is a few quotes from a recent article I read about this subject from http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/
"I do think this was a mistake on part of the Obama campaign," she said. "They didn't have to do this, and they did it to hurt Hillary. I just think that's bad. I think it's bad business, and I think it's bad politics.
"I was accused of being divisive. I think those tactics are divisive," she added. "And the amazing thing is it's not something I started, its something they did in reaction to this."
Ferraro also implored Obama's campaign to turn "the spigot off the hate mail I am getting."
"I find it very, very upsetting," she said. " I've been called all kinds of names, and the attacks are ageist, they're sexist, they're racist. It's been very, very uncomfortable.
Ferraro resigned her fundraising post with Clinton's campaign on Wednesday, after taking heat for telling a newspaper last week that Barack Obama would likely not be leading in the presidential race if he was her were white.
