The power of prayer is incredible. Yet, I feel like so many times, especially in my generation (I am 18), we have forgone this amazing provision and power that God has given us. We have such a go go go mentality that we never take the time to spend on our knees just pouring out to God anymore. There are so many people hurting and so much work that needs done yet we so little seek God for guidance and help. There are way too few Davids in this world willing to set aside time each day to pray to God. Pray for blessing, peace, wisdom, guidance, help, or to just seek the face of God to get closer to Him. I think that this world would be so much different, if even the Christians would humble themselves and whole heartidly seek and pour out to God, if not for themselves for our house, our neighbors, our community, our city, our state, our country, our generation. God has promised and shown us the power of prayer.
This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us - whatever we ask - we know that we have what we asked of him" (1 John 5:14-15).
"Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus" (Philippians 4:6-7).
"Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you." (Matt. 7:7)
I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you."[(Matt 17:8)
I have felt such a strong calling and urge to just pray. To pray for others, their needs and desires, hurts, and things that they are believing in faith for. I believe there is power in numbers, so I would love to join in agreement with you in prayer.
So I guess, I want to know if you have any prayer requests. I remember a time when I was at a christian conference and God was doing a work on me and a complete stranger came and felt lead to pray for me. It was so amazing to know that God loved me and sent some stranger to come and pray for me and show that they loved me. So maybe you just need to know that God cares enough about you that He would have a total stranger pray for you. Maybe you want to share some of your story, maybe you just want to give me your name and say please pray. But, I would love to pray for you! Maybe you aren't even sure you believe in God, but think that if it really works the way the Bible says it does, that it couldn't hurt. Maybe the pray is for you, or for someone else. But I believe we are all children of Christ, and when one person is in need, or hurting, it is the body's job to reach out. I am not promising to be anything or anyone special. Just a girl who has a heart to pray.
In Christ,
Aubrey
