Okay so I read the news often and most times it is very similar in nature- health scare here, crime here, unfortunate school shooting there- but this time I can honestly say that I do not know what to do with this.

In Virginia the state legislators passed a law that said French kissing a minor younger than 13 will get you registered as a sex offender. Okay...now I dont really understand why someone would want to kiss a kid and I do believe that sex offenders are out in communities like sewer rates, but Kissing. I probably would be a lot more freaked out if I was a parent, but Kissing. I can understand touching, I can understand rape, but I'm just not getting the kissing thing. Yes it's gross really really gross but again I'm just not getting it.
That being said I think a lot of times people get the label of sex offender for things that should not be attributed to sex offender status. I know there are people who have gotten sex offender status for dating someone a few years younger and slept with them and family members pressed charges, but I don't know of any case that just had to do with kissing only minus the one in the article. And I do know arousal starts usually with kissing, but I'm just kinda confused with this thing.
What do you guys think? Should that be given sex offender status.
