Some quick insight into why I might write the following words in this blog. I like to be funny and some people think I'm fairly comical. I say whatever I feel like saying to get a laugh. Politically correct has no meaning to me and being wrong is better than being right all the time.
So, why is everyone always concerned with safety these days? I mean 143 million pounds of beef were recalled from S. California this past weekend because the animals were being abused. Okay, actually, I'm glad that the beef was recalled because I think animal cruelty is terrible and the possibility of tainted meat is very scary to me. Bad example of what I'm trying to point out. But yeah, anyone around SoCal, beware of the meat.
But safety is becoming too overly careful today. I mean helmets are a good idea. Airbags are a god idea. Looking both ways on the street corner is a good idea. Heck, pads in sports just might be a great idea too.
Really though...we should be less cautious with our lives in order to live more than the those that are overly cautious.
When you need to cross the street, I say run across the huge intersection with little regard to oncoming traffic. If you think you can surf on 10 foot waves, go for it! When you're driving in a residential area with a 25 MPH speed limit, go 40 MPH! Do whatever you want to do.
There should be one thing you need to watch out for. You're only allowed to endanger yourself and not others. It's not fair for them, unless they happen to be your friends that try to endanger you.
Live a little in the 21st century! There's so much safety that you can avoid to put yourself in more danger! You can actually have fun trying to avoid being safe. Now, I'm not telling you to kill yourself, but these extreme examples should be showing you how you can liven up your day by doing small things.
I J-Walk, speed a little in my friend's car, run around town like an imbecile, and so many more things. People tell me I'm either stupid or crazy, but I just like to think that I'm living on edge...maybe on the edge of my life, but I can say that it's fun.
