Running a website that has as much traffic as Progressive U takes a massive amount of effort from so many people! There are always things that, while they may seem small, are in actuality incredibly important to ensuring that ProgressiveU remains a leader. If you can't commit to a volunteer position, but still want to help out, here are just a few of the things we need assistance with from regular users.
Flag posts for review by utilizing the Flag feature. There are so many posts each day and so much else for Alumni Faculty members to do that it's not always possible for us to review every post in a timely manner. That's where you come in! If you come across a post that violates the Terms of Service (spam, personal attacks/name calling, plagiarized posts, chain letters, less than 200 words of original content, etc), flag those posts so we know to look at them and take action!
Sign up to assist on specific projects. Occasionally, Faculty members will ask for volunteers to assist with specific projects. These are regular users who are eligible for the contest and just want to put in a little time helping out. If you would like us to consider tapping you for assistance, let us know by Private Messaging someone on the Alumni Association Faculty.
Keep an eye out for ProgressiveU listings. We like to know where we're being listed and talked about. If you come across us somewhere, private message Fallon and let her know. You can also keep an eye out on scholarship listings. If we aren't there, PM Fallon and let her know!
Let us know when we need to tweak a feature, create a new feature, or work out a bug! We're always in need of regular users to let us know what's working, what isn't and what we should be doing!
