Homosexuality and Divorce

So, there's tons of stuff on the homosexual marriage debate. I'll give you the heads up; I'm pretty liberal, and all for gay rights, gay marriage, gay adoption. However, tons of religious people use religion and the Bible to condem the idea of marriage. Recently, there was a big debate in Pennsylvania where a couple wanted the book "King and King" taken off the children's shelves at a public library. King and King being a book about homosexuality.
So, logically, the question I raise is; if parents want a book about homosexuality and gay families taken off the shelves, because it is "promoting an alternate lifestyle which glorifies sin", obviously these same parents would want children's books that explain divorce and divorced families to children taken off as well correct? Because, according to the Bible, divorce is adultery, and adultery is sin, and books about divorced families are books that "promote an alternative lifestyle that glorifies and condones sin and says "it's okay!" to be divorced", correct?
Not so fast.
When was the last time you saw Evangelical Christians protesting on the steps of the white house to get divorce to be made illegal?
Why no uproar about the more than 50% of couples that get divorced each year, where is there a disgust with these people, why are Christians not attacking them left right and center? Why are they not protesting outside the court house every time a divorce is finalized? Why are they not seeking to create a law that would make divorcing someone, committing adultery, a sin, illegal, just like homosexual marriage?
