Stop Judging Others; Examine Yourself!

I have been reading so many posts about Christians judging other people and this is wrong! I am a Christian myself and I believe that it is not my right to judge others; in fact the Bible says it is not right to judge others. "Do not judge others or else you will be judged and with the measure you judge, the same will be measured to you." Isn't that interesting that many of those who don't even believe in God have this biblical instruction down better than many of those who do? The Bible also says that it is not our place to judge others; only God has the right to do this.

Instead of looking down on the faults of others, true believers in Christ should be examaning their own lives and considering ways in which they can love and encourage others towards Christ (and this does not mean force-feeding religion down people's throats!) After all, it is not up to Christians to draw people into a relationship with Christ; only the Holy Spirit alone is able to do that! The Bible says, "It is by grace that you have been saved through faith and this is not of yourselves. It is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast." (Ephisians 2:8-9) When believers boast, they should only boast in the Savior!

Does this mean that Christians should become tolerant of all types of sin? No, of course not! But it does mean that we forgive the faults of others, recognizing that we have many faults ourselves. Does this mean that we should stop sharing the amazing love of Christ with others? No, of course not! The Bible commands us to "go into all the world and preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ." It does not mean however, that we rely on our own power to save others. We simply show others the love of Christ by telling others of God's love, and we do NOT judge others! Rather, we examine ourselves and become examples of God's love for others to see!
