Why Return to ProgressiveU?

I've participated in two Blogging For Progress Scholarship Contests but after the last one (ended in June I believe), I didn't return to the site. Until now, of course.
So why did I come back?
It only takes a little exploring of other people's blogs and some entry-writing to understand. I came back for the intellectual pieces from people who actually care. I fully enjoyed being able to voice opinions while getting feedback from other bloggers. I remember waiting anxiously for the first comments of my posts because I needed to know what others thought of my writing and my thoughts.
I probably disappeared from the site in the first place because of the frustration of putting so much work into blog entries, comments, and reads to gain points and not even getting on the Top 25 list. It was equally frustrating to know that no matter how much work I put into this blog, there was always someone else out there in the world who could do more. Just like the listings in FastWeb.com, the scholarships reach out to people all over the U.S., so how can I compete with thousands of other competitors?
I'll tell you honestly, that last fact is quite aggravating.
The answer to why I've returned here: To enjoy the honest opinions, the intellectual thoughts, and the inspiring comments once more without the worry of this contest. Sure, I'll still try to gain points, but I know how unrealistic it is. I will try harder in some respects, but since I came into this particular contest a few days late, I think I'll wait for the next to roll around.
Good luck to all you serious bloggers in the contest. You're gonna need it. Just stay realistic, write some awesome blogs, and comment on my posts.
Hey, you didn't think you'd get away without another plug for my blog, did ya?
