Imaginary Realists
Crazy it seems; pure insanity to believe what really is true. We shield our eyes with blinders to be sheltered from the red dangerous pill of reality that will overcome us with more feelings and more new exciting emotions than we will know what to do with. We try and conquer fears with help of loved ones; and those without the help wither away on the side streets smoking their last pipe before continuing the search for a new home – for the old one got washed away in the storm drain. Untold is the story of the real secret identity, the one who is the mastermind of all mysterious acts. Sure, books and stories show life affected when undergoing the transformation of being so called ‘average’ to becoming one with a ‘secret identity,’ yet aren’t we all technically living a life with a secret identity? Whether or not our acts seem true, we are all hiding with costumes, masks and blinders to see what we want to see rather than who we really are. There is no saint in the bunch; we are all liars. All sexes are alike, male and female, in that we all lie – and quite terribly might I add. Though there are many of battles between the shrew wife and the lazy man, both are the ones giving truth to falsehood. One will claim he or she wants to show the world their true colors and come out with the words that ring in their hearts, and yet, they are stopped by their inner conscious telling them they were not meant to be the next preacher and change the world with mere opinion. Therefore, we lie, shy and quiet, and let the days pass on without a word said because that is who they believe you are. The irony comes at the end with the infamous breaking point – when it finally explodes out of you who you really are. To them it will just be a lie! The blinders do not allow them to see your true colors for you have led them to believe your acts of being was the truth and once out with your exclamation of the REAL truth, the opposite of the lie you’ve been living, you have done nothing for them but cause a ripple in their perfect universe and have told the biggest lie imaginable. They will say to you, “Be true to yourself!” and you become angry and confused because if the fake you is the truth and the real you is a lie, than who is right; you or the imaginary realists?
