My Thoughts On Illegal Immigrants and Non English Speaking Citizens Part 2

Ok so I have done a little research on immigration and I still beleive that it is wrong for immigrants to be here illegally. I think that those who got their green cards should be allowed to stay. Illegals should be deported back to wherever they came from whether it was Mexico or Asia or Europe. I also beleive that in order to get your green card you should beable to speak atleast broken English. I know how to count in Spanish and I know a few of the simpler words and phrases, there are some immigrants here that can't even understand a dollar amount when they are buying something at the store.

Then I see all thses people saying "well they are putting their family first and yada yada." Ok so easy conclusion. Buy the books and tapes and learn AS A FAMILY how to speak English. I understand it's hard to learn a new language, but 82.1% of America speaks English only. And 10.7% speak Spanish only. 3.8% speak European languages and 2.7% speak Asian languages. I would think it would make a lot more sense for the non-English speakers to learn English than the English only to learn other languages. Americans should beable to choose to learn a second language and if companies want to pay more for those who do, then so be it, that makes a lot of sense. That way the ones who are more fluent in Spanish or whatever their native language, can be more comfortable when speaking and listening. If I were to learn Spanish, I know it would make my life easier, I have several Hispanic customers a day, and I can't communicate with them just because they can't understand me and I can't understand them.

As far as immigrants working here, illegals shouldn't get jobs. If you have a green card, you can work. Simple as that.

My opinion has changed slightly from before. Before I was completely against all immigration. Now I beleive it's ok if you have a green card. I think people who live in the United States should also take more pride in their country as well, but that's a whole different issue.
