For those of you who haven't heard, Planned Parenthood planned to open an abortion clinic quietly in Aurora, Illinois. Unfortunately, the news was leaked of Planned Parenthood's intention and pro-lifers began to protest the opening of the clinic. This lead to an investigation by the town as to whether or not Planned Parenthod deceived the town illegally while filing papers for the clinic (from what litle I'm aware of what they did was not illegal, but we'll have to wait and see). Planned Parenthood then filed a motion to open while the invewstigation was performed, stating their opening was slated for a delay because they perform abortions.
Well, today a ruling was handed down on the motion, and the clinic cannot yet open. However, the judge will allow the organization to refile with more evidence of discrimination.
Now, I think that the clinic should undergo the inestigation, but why should they not be allowed to open? It has nothing to do with the sanitary conditions of the facility or a form of malpractice. This is simply an organization trying to provide its services to a town in Illinois, there may be something illegal in the paperwork. Well, if thats the case, close them when this is found and do not allow them to re-open until they pay the penalty and correct the paperwork.
