The impact of a single good deed

Anybody who has seen the superbowl or prime time television at all in the past two years has probably seen the Liberty Mutual Insurance commercial where a man picks up a toy and puts it back in the stroller a woman was pushing, later, the woman is at a bakery and moves a man's coffee away from the edge of the table, and so on and so forth, people do good things for others.

I very rarely remember what the commercial is for since we don't have Liberty Mutual insurance in this area, but I have spent lots of time contemplating what this world would be like if everybody committed to help somebody just one time a day. The people in the commercial don't do major things, they're just being friendly and showing some compassion for people. The world is a pretty rotten place most of the time, but if everybody would commit themselves to just a few kind deeds a day, then I think it would spread. The world could be a better place with just a little bit of love. I encourage everybody to consider that. Smile at somebody who looks a little down, hold open the door for people, even if you don't like them, encourage somebody to be better, throw some change into one of those donation things at the grocery store. Pay it forward, my friends. Pay it forward.

Here's a link to watch that commercial on Youtube
