Health Care In the USA.

I would think that here in this great country our government would have us taken care of. I was raised in Mexico my first 7 years of life, and I am so glad that I was born here in the good US of A; however, I do wish that we would all have free healthcare like in Mexico. In Mexico, the people in the community keep the clinic open with volunteer time per family or person per month. The community members give money or time to the clinic for its upkeep. Other so called thired world countries take care of their old, young, sick and dying but not us here in the USA. If you are a single adult with no children or healthcare coverage, and you get sick today, forget getting any medical assistance. If you have some illness that is not life threatening, you'll think twice before going to a clinic. You probably can't afford the medication if you do go to the doctor and pay him his fee, after you pay the new client fee to the clinic, and the lab fees of the tests the doctor ordered. You may have had a consultation with the doctor, but now what? You won't get any better without the medication, which probably cost you more than $100 dollors. If we had free healthcare the insurance companies, hospitals, and pharmicucial companies would not be getting richer off us little people. Everyone would go see the doctor before they are so far into an illness that, if let unattended, will later cost alot to cure. If that person would have gone to the clinic and had maintance care in the first place the cost would have been so much less then if they waited, and had the doctor tell them "if you would have only come in sooner, we could have prevented this". Don't you think it would make since to provide FREE healthcare?
