As of right now there is a proposed bill that could very well bring the troops home from Iraq. Ignoring President Bush's threat to veto it, the House passed legislation on it and is sending the bill forward. Republicans have already agreed to stand behind his decision in leaving the troops in Iraq. He believe's this is a "surrender date" and withdrawing the troops will result in more violence even though the top U.S. Commander in Iraq says there have been many improvements.
Should President Bush veto this bill or should he set a withdrawal date and bring the troops back home to American soil?
I think they should come home. I really don't see any need for them to be over there any longer.
