I am a huge fan of women’s sports. Sometimes, I noticed that they don’t get enough attention. On my local newspaper there was only a stub article about Tennessee defeating UNC (University of North Carolina) and Rutgers defeating University of Connecticut, while the preview the men’s final with Ohio State vs. Florida had two full pages. For me, basketball has always been basketball, regardless of gender. In addition, I noticed yesterday that the game between Tennessee and
Rutgers was even more hard to find in my local newspaper. It was barely a paragraph, while the men’s final had plus 2 pages. What is wrong here? However, I am glad to see ESPN do their “full court” coverage of the women’s final. Still, female sports do not get enough attention. They play just as hard as their male counterparts. Why is this? Why isn’t equal treatment taking place? Sports are very healthful to females when they play. They should get more attention; that way, the sport can grow and more females will become healthier. In addition, sports allow females to be competitive, which will help a lot in their future. So please support women's sports. Click here for other posts.
Women's sports should be equal to men's
