I am a firm beliver if you are hurting a child, that child should be removed from your home. But what if you are doing the best you can do?

I have a very good friend that is very poor. Her and her brother used to share a room but the parents decided when they hit middle school they should have seperate rooms. The parents moved to the living room so the children could have thier privacy. They have been trying to find a new house that they could rent for quite a while. Thier current house has many holes in the floor that they do not have the money to prepare. Recently thier yard caught on fire due to a ciggarette but and they were very scared that thier house was going to burn. However thankfully it did not.

After the fire a social worker begin to come to thier house. They have heat, but it comes from thier stove. and the extra blankets in thier rooms. Thier mother trys to do her best on taking care of her two children. Her husband works to jobs without a car and she often walks to apply to different jobs. The on thing she makes sure of is her kids are fed, clean,  warm, and happy. She is doing a very good job, but now may lose her children. I think as long as she is doing the best she can, and not neglecting her children, she should be able to keep her children and not be threatened to lose them. I just think the whole situation is wrong.
