To the users who seem to think that name calling and attacking fellow users is okay: I am very disappointed in you. I have shut off comments to the blogs in which you exhibited this immature behavior and am waiting to see if further action will be taken. On this site we blog about the negatvie effects of bullying, but then somehow we think that the users on this site we attack are exempt from the statistics. Progressive U is meant to unite youth across the nation to create a more politically aware generation, and your behavior is everything we are trying to dispel. If you have a problem with another user, send them a private message- this is what we have private messages for. If you wish to discuss a particular user you dislike with other users, use MSN. But carrying on this behavior in blogs, airing your dirty laundry, is a turn off to other users, and businesses that are interested in partnering with the site (who want to provide more opportunities to you!). I am specifically disgusted by this behavior because it comes from users I would have considered leaders in the contest and of their generation- you know better. But this message extends to ALL! When we attack each other, PU becomes the same as MySpace and other sites we try to separate ourselves from. Not to mention, we are not being progressive in the least. I am very sad to see the contest end on such an unhappy note after such a wonderful semester of interesting blogs, a more united front, and increased usership.
