Today it seems that cancer is becoming more common among the United State's population. It is always appearing on the news in order for the public to become aware of how to help cancer victims and how to detect it before it becomes too serious. Breast cancer seems to be rising in women. My Biology teacher said that scientists are now finding evidence that common viruses can lead to tumor cells, since viruses are from rapidly dividing cells. It may seem cancer is becoming more common among people, or it is just that there is more awareness about it now? In either case, could there possibly be a common reason for triggering cancer cells, in our daily life, that we just do not know about yet? Recently on the news, health officials stated that there could be a possbile link between the amount of beef you consume and breast cancer. They say that maybe a horomone in the cattle is causing a link to it. Scientists are continuously finding more possible causes of cancer. It is scary to think of how easy it is to receive it. Providing money to research programs is important so that they can find a cure and links, and causes to this horrible disease. Hopefully more information will arrive soon so that the public can use precautions to help prevent cancer.
