Has anyone watched Gene Simmons Family Jewels? Is this a hilarious show, or what? First let me say, I am absolutely not a fan of any reality show. I do not watch Survivor, or Fear Factor or anything like those. Something about this show intriqued me when I saw the previews.
Gene Simmons is so much the opposite of his on-stage persona, it's amazing. He is a very devoted father and "un-married" husband. He and Shannon Tweed have made a wonderful home for 20 years for their family, there is no need for them to marry. They are an incredibly "normal" family. They do all the normal family things that everyone else does - school events, homework, sports activities....everything. Gene Simmons is absolutely hilarious! He is so bloody funny, I can't stop laughing throughout the entire show. He is a brilliant businessman who takes advantage of every opportunity to make money to support his family.
Their son Nick is exactly like his father. Exactly. Their daughter Sophie is exactly like her mother. Gene and Shannon are a fantastic balance for each other, and for their family. They do a great job of disguising their very traditional family, as a non-traditional family.
Watch the show...it's well worth it.
