okay so this one is just me ranting about some annoying people who have left less than intelligent comments on my blog posts......you don't need to read this one if you don't want to.....i'm just more than a little frustrated with some people at the moment.....
so, i just read a comment by one person on one of my first entries, who decided to correct me on a few things...one of the things this person "corrected" me on wasn't even mentioned in my entry, so that was pointless......the second thing had nothing to do with the point i had been trying to make in that blog, which that point was that Afghanistan and Iraq are two completely different countries, as are their situations. I may have miscommunicated on how many countries are between the two, but that is beside the point of what i was trying to tell people. my point was to prove that you can't compare the two countries and their respective situations to each other because they are far enough apart that there aren't really many similarities between them.
secondly, which may possible annoy me more than that first part, is when people say that they disagree or agree with a topic or point made, but then just leave it at that.....if you're going to comment like that, or at all, defend your viewpoint! what kind of arguement or even normal conversation would take place if everyone just said yes or no to each other? we'd all be left clueless as to how the other person actually feels and that would get us nowhere.....we'd be unable to get along with people (possibly) because no one would actually communicate their thoughts/opinions/feelings about a topic. so if you're going to comment, at least on my blog entries, i want something that i can argue about with you, or talk to you about, or something anyway. that way i can get a feel for where someone else stands on a topic and talk to them about it in a way that is comfortable and understanding and not upseting for all people involved in the discussion of whatever the topic may be.
then there are just people who post a comment on a couple of different entries that have nothing to do with each other. like you read a couple of the entries and on the last one you read, you leave a comment about all three of them.....that kind of messes up other people when they come to read that entry because then they go through the entry again after reading a comment like that and are (possibly) wondering what that person is talking about and that that person must be crazy because some of what they're saying isn't even mentioned in that blog entry. so on that note, i ask that people just try to limit their comments to what that particular entry is about.
don't get me wrong, i'm glad that people read my blog, which is sometimes pointless or just the opposite, controversial, but it helps some other people to better understand what you are saying if you just limit yourself to posting a comment about just that entry and not two or three or more at once......it also makes it easier for me to understand what you're talking about if you don't put one comment about three different blogs on to one entry. otherwise i have to go through and figure out which ones you're talking about and what you're saying and how i can rectify or defend or clarify myself......anyway i'm done now, so on with life.......
