Warning: New Spam e-mail address thief abounds

This post functions not so much as a stated position as a public service announcement.  I know that many of the people who visit this site do not regularly surf the technology-based news, because that's not usually where the real "Progressive" strides can be made.  However, I came across something while reading said news and figured that it might be useful to those of you on this site.

TechWeb reports:  " A new worm targeting Yahoo's Web-based e-mail service bent on collecting addresses for a spam database has been spotted in the wild, a security company warned Monday."

The worm cannot activate itself unless you open the e-mail containing it, and "The message will have a From address of av3@yahoo.com and a Subject: of 'New Graphic Site.'"

Therefore, obviously, if you receive an e-mail from an address such as the one listed above, and it contains the title listed above, DO NOT OPEN IT. The worm will collect all of the e-mail addresses in your address book and submit them to a spam database.

If preventing spam isn't progressive, what is?
