Editors' News Picks

One goal of ProgressiveU is to give people a chance to analyze and comment on the news. We know that it is sometimes hard to stay on top of the news, so we are working on ways to make sharing news stories easier.

As a start, some of our editors will be sharing news headlines from various mainstream and alternative news sources. Editors scan some of their favorite news sources each day and pick articles that they find particularly interesting or relevant to ProU members. You can scan the headlines of articles that editors have recently shared below. You can also click on "read more" to see more suggestions from that editor, including excerpts from the articles and links to the original articles.

Each editor has his or her own areas of interest, so you will find many different niches and perspectives represented. If you find that you like the subject areas and news sources covered by particular editors, you may want to bookmark their shared news pages.

If you read an article that inspires you to say more, feel free to write a blog or forum post about it. You can link to the articles and include short quotes, but don't simply cut and paste the article, as we explain here, and as many bloggers point out under this category tag. Eventually we will add features that make it even easier to share and comment on news stories while logged in to ProgressiveU.

If you think you would add a fresh perspective, please look at the volunteer pages that can be found in our FAQ, or contact us at info[at]progressiveu.org and we tell you more about how you can join our news team. If you have suggestion on how we can make our news tools better, email us at the same address. Our goal is progress, and we can't make progress without ideas and suggestions from you.
