Hi! My name is Amanda. I've never done this before, but always been very interested in it. Hopefully it is as cool as it has always sounded to me and I become a real blogger. I'm not good at being new at things, so ANY tips or advice are very welcome! It seems like this is the time for new beginnings for me. I just left my full time job, where I worked for over five years, to start college. This week, I am moving two hours away from my whole life to live where my school is. Two hours away doesn't seem very far, but it is the first time I have been away from my family. I am a people person and I get very attached to my loved ones, so leaving has been very hard for me. As scared as I am, I am also excited to meet new people and begin a wonderful adventure.

I think the key to blogging is having strong interests. Anything that gives you a strong feeling, take that feeling to your blog- don't be afraid to sprinkle in some research with that feeling.
College can be different and scary, especially the moving away. The biggest thing I think is being sociable, join a club or two, and leave your dorm room open... OH! and do your reading assignments and homework.
