Do Something is an online database of volunteer opportunities sorted just for teens. Participants opt in to get local opportunities for causes they care about text messaged directly to their mobile phones twice a month. (Standard text message rates apply.)
ProgressiveU.org has joined the ranks with DoSomething.org. From now until November 1, 2008, we have been challenged to recruit members to sign up for volunteer text messages and we could win! The more people we sign up the bigger and better the prizes!
Prize Levels
50 Recruits: 20 SWAG Sets with Do Something pens, folders, and notebooks.
100 Recruits: 20 SWAG Sets and 20 Do Something reusable ecobags.
250 Recruits: 20 SWAG Sets, 20 ecobags, 20 t-shirts, and a $100 pizza party.
1000 Recruits: 20 SWAG Sets, 20 ecobags, 20 t-shirts, a $100 pizza party, AND 2 plane tickets to New York City for a Do Something Boot Camp!
Depending on the number of recruits ProgressiveU.org signs up, we will raffle the prizes to the bloggers who have participated. In addition, you will receive 100 extra points toward the Blogging for Progress Contest. For more information on how to participate, click here.
