The effect that the writers’ strike had on the 80th Annual Oscars was definitely noticeable. I mean I love the Oscars, and I love all the effort that was put into it; but I could definitely tell that they were struggling for words and comments!

The writer's strike officially ended within the last couple of days and I'm torn between supporting the writers and their goals for better working condition/pay and being perterbed by the fact that the economy lost 20 billion dollars from it.

When Late Night Comedians Go It Alone

Conan O'Brien and Craig Ferguson have just come to a close for the night on the second evening that late night talk shows have aired in two months. If you are not a typical viewer of these shows then it has obviously not affected your viewing, but I'm sure the writers' strike has done damage to other shows you may watch. Why do I keep writing so much about this strike?

Writers (from the Writers Guild of America) have gone on strike. The strike started sharply on Monday, November 7. It is believed that it will last a long time. The writers are prepared for a "marathon."
