Perhaps what needs to be done is a complete revamp of the “Holy Bible,” with explanations. Another wise man once mentioned that not until the American people have an explanation of something, such as an unidentified flying saucer soaring directly above your head, while you hover, will they be pleased.
First, you must understand the context of Rev. Wrights message. If you read carefully in my earlier threads, I along with clergymen have said that it is a tactic to stir up debate, like the one we are having, to present a radical view. Once this radical view is presented it is up to the congregation(us) to settle on to what degree the view is upheld.
Is it just me, or is the issue of global warming cooling down?
Yesterday a massive chunk of ice, 7 times the size of Manhattan fell into the waters off of the Wilkins ice shelf on the western side of Antactica. The 1,500 year old ice that broke off into the ocean exposed ancient glaciers directly to ocean waters.
What's the first thing you think of when I say "religious warfare?" It's probably along the lines of Islam, Jihad, etc. The term religious warfare is breathed with a negative connotation. What we neglect is that most of the wars of the past century had nothing to do with religion. They were based on atheistic principles. Religious warfare is not what we've made it out to be.

It's September 11... again. Yes, we all know where we were 6 years ago (Was it 6? I've lost count--but I could tell you where I was!). Yes, we've all rehashed the tragedy of the event again. Yes, we all (well, most of us) agree that it was a terrible thing to have happened. But really, does everyone have to have this same discussion AGAIN?!
