All middle aged married couples blur together

I sell produce now. It's my day job. My night job is a little different than my day job. They told me to keep my day job. So I sell produce now.

My friend owns a produce stand at a farmer's market. It's a quaint little stand. He gets crushed on by sweet, and mean, old ladies. They know his name, and some even give him nicknames like lover boy.

Working for Minimum Wage and Loving It

I’m really excited to start my new summer job this year. I’m working at a local music store as a novice repair tech/general lackey. I absolutely love tinkering around with the instruments. Figuring out what’s wrong with the instruments and how to fix it is like working on an intricate jigsaw puzzle. Each instrument is slightly different, each problem presents a new challenge. I’m in awe of the master repair tech there. Have you ever seen someone bring a flute back to life that had been run over by a school bus? Its awesome.

change the age

I recently got (and quit) a job. But I got that job after 4 months of looking for one. Halfway through my job search things got a little more difficult when I couldn't even apply at malls anymore because now malls want people 18 and over. even though I have expierence and a high school diploma, I still can't work at a mall because of my age. Actually, most jobs require you to be 18.

Last Summer: Hold On

Tagged:  •    •    •

Summer is coming soon. And with college waiting at the end of August I have been faced with the ever pressing question of what to do with summer.

Obviously finding and decent job with lots of hours and good pay is a must. Well I’m pretty sure that I have that under control.

Senioritis and its Gravitational Hold

I come from a new IB school that has emerged out of Central Oregon within the last couple years, and I happen to be part of the Guinea Pig class that gets to try out the program but not reap the benefits of actually doing the program.

Social Security = Retirement Income?

Most of us have come to realize that whether or not we expect to receive social security benefits in the future, or if the system will allow (somehow) privatization of these accounts seems to be irrelevant. Not many people expect there to be benefits paid out when it’s time for us to retire.

Despising Youth

I ran across this Bible verse the other day and I was surprised at how much it hit home. I apologize, but a bit of an autobiography is a necessary part of this blog.

Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity. 1 Timothy 4:12
