The United States has long seen itself as “the world’s watchdog.” Often we get involved in other country’s foreign affairs, usually in the name of democracy and helping those in need.

I hate arguments and avoid them when its possible without jeopardizing my morals and standards. War is the biggest argument I can think of and its the most dangerous. I still believe that there must be a less deadly way to solve these problems that face our world today, but seeing how I have yet to come up with that magical solution... we have war.

In history we just finished up learning about the Vietnam War.

I woke up this morning missing my friends in Iraq....just thought I would share that...Anyway Alvin (one of my friends) got sent there just recently, his son is almost one.

While sitting during the previews before my movie, I was looking more foward to the eye candy that would be on screen for the next two hours more than anything else. Did I want to analyze the movie? Absolutely not. After all, movies are suppossed to allow you to escape from reality. My fantasy life was going to be with Channing Tatum and Ryan Phillipe and then the movie started...

I just spent 2 hours reading in my American History book about the causes of World War II. The book went on and on about how much of a mistake it was for America not to do something about dictators in Europe and Asia before the war started. It's so strange that Americans and other democracies were SO scared of getting into conflict with the dictators of the world at that time.

This is a very cynical and non-Humanitarian stratagy to win the war in Iraq.
